History:	The pack evolved from earlier packs, including the Bradford and Airedale Harriers, to be established in 1891. From 1922 until 1983 hounds were kennelled at Eldwick.

Hunt Country:

The country is predominantly in Airedale and Wharfedale, stretching west into Lancashire. The terrain is fell and rough pasture with high stone walls. Adjoining packs are the Claro Beagles, Pendle Forest & Craven Harriers and the Colne Valley Beagles. A strong, well-built hound is required to hunt this demanding hill country in often harsh weather conditions.
