Other Notes: Hounds are descended from the Dumfriesshire Line of Hounds and have been bred for over 15 generations to follow a Drag Scent. The hunt also holds Sponsored & Fun Rides and a Point to Point meeting.

History: The hunt was founded in 1974 by the late Roger Palmer. Particular emphasis has been placed on hound breeding and building inviting jumps. A special feature is the provision for easier, alternative fences.

Hunt Country

Hunt Country: Lines are arranged in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. The area is easily accessible from the M3 and M4 motorways. Each day�s lines usually consist of an average of nine miles and 50 jumps over at least 95% grassland. Some lines have 90 jumps. Most have easier alternatives where there are big hedges or ditches. Best centres: Newbury, Hungerford, Reading, Oxford, High Wycombe.
