Various large cattle ranches consisting of grass range, stubble fields, mountainous foothills, river bottoms, often steep, rugged, rocky terrain, average 5500 foot elevation. Ground is often frozen mid-season, requiring sharp shoes with snow poppers. No jumping required, as most fixtures are vast unfenced contiguous ranches. Western attire and tack acceptable. Average hunts range from 12 to 25 miles covered in 3 to 5 hours
