History of the Hunt

History:	The pack was reformed in 1947. Its reformation was driven by Philip Hunter. Mr P Hunter hunted the hounds himself until 1973 & remained as Master until 1976. Hounds were moved to kennels in Peover Park in 1983 and the Forest pack now hunt the country from Macclesfield to The Wirral, with the main A556 the dividing line between the Cheshire and Cheshire Forest.

The country 50 miles east to west, 20 miles north to south is mainly grassland, natural fences, some hunt fences (Irish!). Adjacent packs are Sir Watkin Williams-Wynns, Cheshire, N Staffs, Staffs Moorland and Holcombe Harriers.
