History of the Hunt

History: In about 1828 or 1830, Mr Croker, of Ballinagard, gave up a scratch pack of foxhounds, with Geo Fosbery as Master. Mr Fosbery held office till his death, about 1845, when a committee of three took over the management for two seasons.

Hunt Country

Hunt Country: The country covers 30 miles by 40 miles in County Limerick. It supports two distinct types of country: the western portion is stone wall, and the eastern, the famous Limerick banks. Best centres: Croom and Adare.
