History of the Hunt

History:	The Hunt in its present form, results from the 1991 merger of the Dart Vale and Haldon Harriers (which themselves combined in 1947) and the South Pool Harriers. Although the Dart Vale was established under that name in 1840, it is of ancient origin. The South Pool, established in 1861, was formed by amalgamation of the Bowden and the Malborough.
