History of the Hunt

History:	The pack was formed in the latter part of the 1959-60 season from gifts of hounds from the Westerby and West Lodge. At the end of the 1970-71 season the original Master retired and most of the pack were drafted. Gifts of hounds were received from the South Wales, the Leadon Vale and the Huckworthy and, with these, and from extensive breeding from the remnant of the original pack, the present pack was reconstructed. At the end of the 1975-76 season part of the country previously hunted by the North Essex Foot Beagles was incorporated upon the amalgamation with the North Essex Foot Hunt Club.
