History of the Hunt

History:	The hunt, was established in 1939 in Dummer, Hampshire, by Sir Newton Rycroft. It was put into abeyance in 1943, except for a nucleus of breeding bitches which was hunted by the Old Berkeley, 1944-46. In 1946-47 the Dummer Beagles joined the Wye College Beagles before resuming at Little Rissington, Gloucestershire in 1948 where the pack still remains. It became a subscription pack in 1961. The hunt was incorporated as The Dummer Beagles Ltd in 2007.
