History: The Hunt was started by Nicholas Snow, of Oare, who held office from 1869 to 1889, and under whose Mastership it was known as the Stars of the West.

Hunt Country

Hunt Country: The country, which lies in North Devon and Somerset, extends some 20 miles east to west and 12 miles north to south at the widest part. Best centres: Porlock, Exford, Lynton, Lynmouth, Minehead and Simonsbath.
