History of the Hunt

History:	The Hunt was formed in 1967-68 by David Mann who was huntsman and joint master with Ernest Mansell. In 1971, the pack received a further draft of Grims Hounds from Mrs Peggy Keevil. Brian Wilson became joint master, and the pack became the property of the joint masters. In 1980, Greg Tustin became senior master and huntsman when Mr Mann moved to Devon, to be succeeded in 1981 by David Oliver. In 1984 Mr Mann generously gave the hounds to the Committee. In 2005, the Constitution of the Hunt was changed to comply with the Hunting Act 2004, and the ownership of hounds and other assets were transferred to the Trustees of the LVBH.

The country lies in that of the Berkeley, Ledbury and Cotswold Vale Farmers Foxhounds, and marches with the Ross Harriers, the Wyre Forest, Warwickshire, Dummer, RAC, Chilmark & Clifton Foot, and Monmouthshire Beagles. The terrain varies from undulating, between the Forest of Dean and the River Severn, to flat in the Vale of Berkeley.
