Hunt Country

Hunt Country: The Country consists of non-contiguous plantations where the Hunt meets by invitation in the South Carolina lowcountry counties of Colleton, Beaufort, Jasper and Hampton. The terrain is sandy with flat, open fields, woodlands and swamps. The plantations range in size from 1,000 to 23,000 acres. Panels include aikens, logs, ditches and other natural obstacles; none exceed 3 feet high and most are optional. Any sound horse is suitable.
