The country occupies all Northumberland and most meets are by arrangement in the countries of the Tynedale, Haydon, Border and North Tyne Foxhounds, with some meets in the Morpeth, West Percy and Percy countries. The country hunted is open hill and moorland with some meets in lowland "in-by" areas. Hounds hunt equally well on both types of terrain.
