History of the Hunt

History:	The pack was established in 1951 by R R Wright, as a private pack of mixed Basset hounds and Beagles, the North Warwickshire Harehounds. It became an entirely beagle pack when Mr Wright was joined by Sqn Ldr I A Clarke, RAF (rtd in 1965). A committee was formed in May 1967 when it became a subscription pack.

Hunt Country:

The country lies in north Warwickshire and west Leicestershire, including half of the old Staffordshire Beagles country. Mainly pasture with a fair amount of plough; fences are mainly thorn, the main part of the country is situated in that of the Atherstone Foxhounds with invitation meets in the Meynell and North Warwickshire countries. Best centre: Atherstone.
