Somerset, Hunterdon, Warren Counties in New Jersey, formerly hunted by Vernon-Somerset Beagles and Whiteoaks Foot Beagles, comprises a portion of the country of the Essex Fox Hounds and Amwell Valley Fox Hounds. The Tewksbury Foot Bassets were formed in the late 1940's by Haliburton Fales II and James S. ones and were asked to take over the country in 1953, following the disbanding of the Vernon-Somerset Beagles that year.
