History of the Hunt

History:	The Hunt was formed in 1932 by E Burrill in country loaned by the Bedale. Non-existent from 1935-62. Restarted by Mr Ramsden on his retirement from the Bedale Joint-Mastership. Subscription pack from 1969, before which a private pack.

The country lies west of the River Yore from Ripon northwards; south of Ripon to River Nidd; west to Pateley Bridge; bounded on the north by the River Yore as far as Wensley. Best centres: Wensley, Masham and Mickley. Adjoining Hunts: the Bedale to the north; the York & Ainsty (North) to the south; the Wensleydale Fell hounds share a boundary to the north west. Country to the west and south west is not hunted.
