Hunt Country

Hunt Country: The country, which lies in Worcestershire, covers some 20 miles north to south by 30 miles east to west. Following the dissolution of the North Warwickshire hunt in 1985, a new area between Redditch and Warwick was incorporated into the country. A clever horse that can stay is required to negotiate the many timber and stiff thorn fences that abound in this predominantly grass country. Best centres: Droitwich and Henley-in-Arden. Adjoining Hunts: the Wheatland, the Albrighton Woodland and the Meynell & South Staffs to the north; the Warwickshire to the east; the Croome & West Warwickshire to the south. Additional areas: Knightwick, Abberley, Martley and on the west side of the River Severn to adjoining Clifton-on-Teme country.
