National Trust AGM 2023

We are grateful to the BSHA for letting us know that The National Trust AGM will hold their AGM on 11 November 2023 at the STEAM Museum, Swindon. Online voting for election to the National Trust Council closes at 11.59pm on Friday 3 November 2023. All members are entitled to vote.

There are 37 candidates for 5 seats, so it is sure to be keenly contested. The National Trust have endorsed 5 candidates. However, an organisation called Restore Trust that opposes the revisionist direction that the National Trust has taken over recent years  have also put forward 5 candidates. Their website is www.restoretrust.org.uk.
The 5 candidates proposed by Restore Trust are Philip Gibbs, Violet Manners, Jonathan Sumption, Andrew Gimson and Philip Merricks.

Philip Gibbs, Violet Manners and Philip Merricks are also endorsed by the Countryside Alliance and they are joined by Jim McRobert and Michael Salter-Church.
