The following is a report from the Dundee Advertiser in 1934 Songster, a chestnut horse, that in 1914, was ” turned down ” for war service because of his age, and afterwards went overseas with the Leicestershire Yeomanry, he is claimed by his master to be the ” daddy ” of all veteran war horses....
