Kildare Puppy Show 1936

Only July 31st there was a large attendance of hunt followers from Kildare and neighbouring hunts at the Annual Puppy Show of the Kildare Hunt held at the Kennels. Ncas. A morning of mist cleared by the afternoon, and visitors were able to enjoy watching the judging of the hounds without rain marring the event. After the judging visitors were entertained to tea by the Kildaro Hunt Club’s management Committee. The judges were Mr. David H. Doyne, M.F.H.. Coolattin Hounds; Capt. C. Winter, M.F.H., Westmeath Hounds, and Mr. W. Fitzsimmons Huntsman, Meath Hounds.
Fifteen and half couples showed their paces before the judges and the prize awards  were as follows:

Dog Hounds

1st, Rouser, walked by Miss. Jeffers;

2nd., Rutland, walked by Mrs. Martin:

3rd, Ruler, Mis. Nolan.


1st, Tuneful, walked by Lady Fanshawe

2nd.Tulip  walked by Lady Brooke;

3rd, Ringlet, walked Miss F. Boylan.


1st, Ransom and Ringlet, walked by Mrs. Boylan;

2nd., Ruler and Rummager. walked by Mrs. Nolan.
